Excellence Awards Launched

Scotland Food & Drink and The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland are inviting companies to showcase their products and services by entering the Excellence Awards which have gained a reputation as the ‘Oscars' of the food and drink industry.
Following the success of last year's event, the presentation ceremony will again take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel on Thursday, 24 May.
The 2012 awards will see some changes to the judging process. Every product entered into the tasted categories will be sampled by the prestigious panel giving every entrant, no matter how big or small, the chance to tantalise the judges' tastebuds.
Entrants to the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards and the Highlands & Islands Food and Drink Awards will also automatically be entered into the Excellence Awards where a corresponding category exists.
The closing date for the awards is 2nd March 2012
