C2 Progress Report Launched

C2 Progress Report Launched

28 October 2010

The SAOS Cultivating Collaboration (C2) project is having a real impact on the collaborative behaviour of Scottish food and drink companies, according to an interim evaluation of the project. The research, carried out by Ekos Ltd on behalf of SAOS and the C2 project, demonstrates that it is viewed in the food and drink sector as both innovative and delivering value for money.

Details of the evaluation and the work which the project has undertaken are included in a Progress Report published today, Thursday, 28th October, 2010.

The evaluation shows that C2 has influenced attitudes, changed behaviour and also identified some of the real business benefits resulting from collaboration. It is also seen as contributing to the sector's growth ambitions.

The results refer to the period from October 2008, when the project commenced, and May 2010, around the halfway mark of its three year duration. During that time the project worked with 175 companies and 61 organisations including councils, academic institutions and partners in the food and drink sector. C2 is funded by the Scottish Government, the European Union and SAOS and is delivered as a strategic activity of Scotland Food and Drink.
