Anyone interested in submitting an application to the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards for 2009 is reminded that the closing date for applications is July 20th.

Cultivating Collaboration is delighted to be sponsoring the 2009 Partnership for Services Award, one of the prestigious Williamson Foodservice Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards.

The award is open to all businesses at any part of the food and drink supply chain which can demonstrate successful partnership working and collaboration and can show how this has benefited their business and others in the supply chain.  The qualifying period for the award is from 1st July 2008.

Alan Stevenson, C2 project director, says: "We are delighted to be able to sponsor this award which recognises the importance of collaboration right across the supply chain. It will also help to underline the importance of partnership working to the creation of sustainable food and drink businesses."

The 2009 Williamson Foodservice Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards are now in their fifth year. They complement the work of the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Forum by encouraging food and drink businesses to be innovative, forward thinking and collaborative and by celebrating excellence and achievement.  With some of the best natural produce in the world, the awards showcase the wide range of food and drink products in the region and the equally diverse profile of businesses, from internationally renowned companies to small innovative producers.

The awards are open to businesses of all sizes and individuals involved in the food and drink sector across the Highlands and Islands, and industry related services.   A full list of categories and award criteria is available at http://www.hifoodanddrinkawards.com/

Entry for the Awards is open now until 20 July 2009.  A panel of industry experts will judge the awards, with the shortlist announced early in September.

The winners and finalists are recognised at the Awards Dinner, which takes place at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on 23 October 2009. This features a sumptuous four-course dinner featuring local produce, the glittering Awards Ceremony and entertainment.  Tickets are available from http://www.hifoodanddrinkawards.com/
