Shortlist Unveiled for Excellence Awards

With a record total of 218 entries received for the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2010 - more than double the amount for 2009 - 45 companies have been shortlisted.
The shortlisted companies in the Success through Working in Partnerships category, sponsored by SAOS/C2 are:
- Quality Meat Scotland - in a five-partner innovation with Scottish Pig Producers, VION UK Ltd, ASDA and SPCA
- Mackie's at Taypack - a joint venture between Mackies of Scotland and Taypack Potatoes that enabled both companies to access new markets
- Argyll Hill Lamb Ltd - 16 hill farmers from Mull, Islay, North Argyll and Cowal as Argyll Hill Lamb have worked together with Forteiths of Oban a regionwide butcher and wholesaler
The winners will be unveiled at an awards ceremony at Benromach Distillery in Forres on Thursday, 6th May.
