Helping You to Make the Most of the Opportunity

If you don't know who is in your supply chain and what they expect from you then it's hard to figure out if it's working efficiently.

For example:

  • You might be experiencing a high returns rate for your produce from the abattoir or the vegetable wholesaler
  • It may be that the next business up in the chain - the meat wholesaler or the supermarket - is looking for a certain product quality and consistency that you aren't meeting
  • They, in turn, may be meeting a demand from their customers for extra lean meat or a particular type of potato

All the partners in a supply chain need to know what is expected of them so that everyone is clear about all the processes involved in the product from start to finish. Anyone in the chain can start this off.

If you want to be the one who makes the first move we can help you to understand more about your supply chain by offering advice and the opportunity to take part in workshops and events.

C2 has already run some events and there are more planned for the future.

  • We have helped people in the lamb supply chains in the Grantown on Spey and Argyll and Bute areas find out how to improve their products and profitability.
  • We ran an event where the businesses taking part worked on a fictional supply chain story featuring an anxious pie making tycoon, Bessie Broon. You can try this out but to get the most from it - and the answers! - sign up to an event.

You can also find out how other businesses have benefited by improving communication, and identifying weaknesses or opportunities in their supply chains by reading up on our range of case studies.
