This workshop aims to
• To improve producers understanding of the malting barley supply chain
• Ensure effective grain store management through identification of best practice
• Understand the potential benefits of a collaborative supply chain approach
• Improved understanding of changing customer requirements and future market prospects
It also involves a tour of the Bairds Malting Plant at Arbroath, the most modern in the UK and Europe, to learn more about the malting process and about what happens to the grain once it leaves the farm.
