Elmwood College in Fife is holding a conference highlighting the role played by thriving food and drink businesses in Scotland's economy and future prosperity. The event takes place on Thursday November 10.

The Cupar-based college also hopes to introduce a fresh thinking strategy for the further education sector to engage with the food and drink industry.

Opening the conference on 10th November is James Withers, recently-appointed Chief Executive of Scotland Food & Drink.

Other speakers include Jane Stewart (Anster Cheese), Fiona and Nikki Pollock (Ardross Farm Shop), Alex and Jane Nicol (Spencerfield Spirit Co) and Michael Clark, a former hospitality student of Elmwood College.

The event will be closed by Toby Anstruther, Chair of the Fife Food Network.

Workshop discussions on a range of topics on the needs of the industry are key reasons to attend the event.

Places at the conference cost £20, a contribution from all profits from the event will be used to help support the Elmwood College Student Enterprise Intern.
